2011 has come and gone and it sure did fly by! Sometimes I really am amazed at how fast time flies from us. It brings even more encouragement to take the time to slow down and live! Relax! Laugh! Love!
1 Corinthians 10:31 talks about that whatever I eat or drink or what ever I do, do it for the glory of the Lord. Call it a "resolution" or what ever you may but this is the scripture (along with many others) that is driving us this year!
Live a simple life
Love whoever I encounter
Laugh until I cry
Grow deeper with the Lord and Scott
Finish what I've started
Continue making our house our home
Serving others
Listening to the voice of God
Be thou my vision of Lord of my heart!
I also plan to better update this! Remodel blogs to come soon!

Summer Nights...
Where has this summer gone! It seriously feels like I blinked and June was gone. So I said to myself... July will feel different... And here we are... at the end! So crazy how fast it flies! I still have 4 weeks left of my summer classes as well as getting ready for the fall semester for work and preparing for our September trip to Kenya and i have that sickly gut feeling that I will doze off tonight and the next thing I know we will be boarding the plane!! So much to do and so little time!!
I am grateful thought for hopefully a less stress fall. That will be amazing! I am ready for this season of rest! I have been so busy that i havent even had time to simply talk on the phone to some of my friends that I miss so much!
One day I will overcome busyness... August however is not the month lol! So guess come up to breath just in time for Kenya and many months after!!

busyness
Busyness....
Sometimes we get so busy that we feel trapped, overwhelmed, depressed, irritable....
This pass Sunday, Rich (our pastor at Wolfforth) started a serious on busyness that is going through the month of may. Who would of thought that the Lord would of gently slapped me in the face with this issue three days after the fact!!
I have always been busy!
High school it was sun up till sun down with school, church and after school programs.
In college... I was that student that took too many hours per semester while working 3 jobs while working with youth and having a social life!
When I turned 20, I found out that I had high blood pressure and migraines entered my life. My dad was also diagnosed with those around the same time. Needless to say, we are all good now except i still have some very intense migraines, but that was my wake up call! I mean I was having the same health problems as my dad and were 30 years apart!
So began the de-cluttering of my life.
I wish I could say that it is all under control and that God's peace is with me daily but it is still a struggle.
I knew this would be a good sermon series but I had no idea of how God would already being to change my heart so soon!!
I am completely for not putting God in a box! When we allow God to lead our lives (free of a box) and to schedule our lives, we are led by his Spirit and covered with his peace.
So if you happen to be reading and are thinking well I know that I never have God in a box or at least try not too...
Did you get out of the box????
This is what hit me today when talking with a dear friend! She noted how I have big out of the box dreams and visions for my life and ministry, and yet I am trying to follow everything and align everything according to the rules of the "box". I mean... im married now... I am expected to help provide financially for our family and make sure we are secure right!?!?
And it hit me
I have no problem with not boxing up God, but many times I do not get out of the box in order to 100% follow God!
So i layer my life with busyness and deadlines, homework, work, church, family, friends, and youth and then random retreats and days of just lazy wastefulness because I am just too dang tired from my busy schedule ... THAT I HAVE ALREADY CUT OUT SO MUCH FROM!!
I need to learn to put that trust back in the Lord. Trust that I didn't even know I had taken back. If i am going to go through all this schooling and working in order to pursue my calling and visions from the Lord then I need to get my head out of the box it is in and follow the Lord's direction and timing in order to live a peaceful life through God's peace.
I think it is so funny that out of a simple random conversation and a sermon, God begins to shed light on what we do not realize we are still clinging to when we recognize it and accept God's direction, peace comes in an overwhelming power.
I have been clinging to this structure of college, grad school, grad school grad school and then begin to work and support my family and then maybe after our future kids are up and out and in college, I will get to pursue the visions of my calling. Or maybe as i step out of the box and allow the Lord to guide and lead and bring the finances when and how we need them instead of worrying about it all, I can begin today instead of just simply waiting for tomorrow.
I know first hand how God brings the daily manna when we stop and take the time to receive it.
So this is just the 3rd day of revelation! I can not wait to see where and how God is going to direct us through the rest of the month! I am still processing so I am sure there will be more posts! (especially since I have not had the time haha)

Foundation
On Christ the solid rock I stand all other ground is sinking sand.
All other ground is sinking sand.
I just finished writing my foundational paper for a class and it made me realize how often I put that foundation on the back burner during the daily business.
I am so thankful for my husband and close friends and family that keep me steady on that rock.
Cause I want to be found faithful, steady till the end whenever that may be!
Lord come conform me, come transform me to the image if you!
Here's my heat
Lord take and seal it
Seal it for Thy courts above.
Can you sing over me words ofcomfort
Can you satisfy me with sweet honey

Defiant
Why do I drag my heals for some changes and not for others.
Why is it easier to accept change when it affect the whole of me and people around me, but when it is for myself I just drag my heals.
It is really getting annoying. This is not going to be another I'm going to change speech and watch me do it and then down the road say the same thing again. I am tired of complacency. I am tired of being tired. I am tired of letting the negative voice in my head out weigh the positive love that comes from my Father. Why do I keep giving it room to talk.
No more.
No more.
I am strong.
I am determined.
I have more to offer.
I am called to greatness.
I am called Beloved.
I am calling to move forward.
I am called.
No more waiting.
No more excuses.
No more apathy or laziness.
I will go.
It starts with me.
In order to fulfill my calling.
It start with me.
Saying Yes!
I will go.
I will go because God has called me!

The beginnings.
I have thought about blogging for a long time and just have never started.
So here we go.
Starting.
We have been married for 6 months now and have not had a lot of issues. Praise God for that.
I love being married to my best friend and am so grateful for his love and friendship when I feel completely alone.
It amazes me how every plan I make gets ripped apart. And yet i still do it! No matter what I plan for, surprises always come. Usually they are good. But a few times they are not.
A line from a Justin Rizzo song keeps swirling through my head since Sunday night.
"Come conform me, Come transform me to the image of You".
How can I become transformed if I am always trying to control the change?
I am letting go.
I am breaking free.
No more worries about what tomorrow will bring.
When I am tired, I will rest.
When I am energized I will be useful.
No more wasting my time with laziness or apathy.
Freedom is in this place and I accept it.
I choose it.
I desire it.
No longer will I stay captive to my chains.
The desires of my heart will comfort me when i am alone.
